Jane left the corporate world to follow her first love of flowers in 2010. After going to college, she jumped in and opened her first florist shop ‘Daisy Janes’ and hasn’t looked back. Independently running the shop she has worked on weddings, events, sympathy work and corporate displays. Jane’s stunning and creative funeral designs have gained her a wonderful reputation.
Jane is trained in the Japanese Floral art of ikebana, which can be seen as an influence in some of her work. The people of Burnham village fell in love with her and her work as well as and her friendly and down to earth approach. Jane has the ability to adapt her style to suit any design, she loves vibrant, strong colour and gets excited when working on intricate designs.
Needing inspiration and help to push her business further she returned to college to achieve her level 4 where Jane met Victoria and ‘Victoria Jane’ was born.
Victoria started her floristry career in 1998 in what was then Reading’s top florist. Her love of flowers meant turning down a career in art which she had originally planned. Self-trained she worked as a senior florist, where she had the opportunity to dress celebrity homes and has been involved in the making and set up of hundreds of weddings on both large and small scale.
As well as working off site, Victoria has set up florist shops within large department stores in different locations around the country. This background has given her a flexible and versatile style. Victoria’s love of nature and wild and natural blooms is evident in her work, where she thrives in this style of design. Her passion, along with her vast experience of bridal work, means she can rise to any challenge.
Victoria returned to college to get her level 4 floristry in 2016 where she met Jane and ‘Victoria Jane’ was born.
